Strategic Plan Update
Stategic Plan Update March 2010
Strategic Plan Notes March 2010
This Strategic Plan sets forth the Vision, Core Values, Key Results Areas, Outcomes, Broad Strategies and associated timelines of the Queensland Touch Association (QTA) for the period 2009 – 2011.
This document has been developed after extensive consultation and input from a broad cross section of QTA Stakeholders. Input has been received through a number of means however the majority of input has been via the following:
ü Over 40 completed Pre-Strategic Planning Workshop Surveys
ü A Pre-Workshop Summary Report
ü A 1-day Strategic Planning Workshop held on 22nd November 2008
The Strategic Planning Workshop was attended by stakeholders representing:
ü QTA Board of Management
ü Affiliates (regions and clubs)
ü QTA staff
ü Players
ü Coaches
ü Referees
ü Selectors
ü Administrators
ü Department of Local Government, Sport and Recreation (DLGSR) QLD
QTA has reviewed its performance over the past 3 years and is happy with its progress in some areas of operation; however the organisation is now looking forward to achieving results in key areas where it has fallen short in the previous strategic period.
Although work has been done over the past 3 years to improve the governance, management, sport development and operations of the sport of Touch in Queensland, it is now time to do more to ensure that the QTA’s players, coaches, officials, volunteers, staff, sponsors and other stakeholders receive the best possible opportunities through active participation in our great sport.
